Missing mfo file

Hi Michael,

Is there a situation when an mfo file will not be created?

Iam using Windows 7, 64bit and have been for some time. My films are stored in the correct structure;

\\share\video\film (year)\film (year).mkv

They are not all mkv, some are mp4 or avi but I don't think that is relevant as 99% of the films are all fine. But my Face Off movie folder only has the film in it no _fanart, no _banner and no mfo, yet it appears on the A200 LED Skinned menu.

Is this a problem?

Setting output folder

Hi,

I just downloaded movie-flow and started to configure the program for my system. But I don't quite get how to set the movie-flow output folder; the program seems to asume that the output directory is put at the root of a network drive. Is that a requirement?

I'm running Windows-7 (64-bit) on my PC where I'm sharing a folder on the local hardisc: C:\Public

This folder is mapped as Cerberus_Public on my NMT (using smb).

My movies are stored in C:\Public\Videos\ Movies (Cerberus_Public/Videos/Movies).

I wanted to set the output folder to "C:\Public\movie-flow",
but whenever I try to scan my video files I get the error message "The selected driver letter for the output folder is not active".

Is the program testing my access rights by writing at "C:\" (don't think the program have access to do that; but writing at C:\Public is ok)?

Any advice would be very appriciated!

Hi,
I have a little problem. I changier the name of the movie to the german title but the sorting is by the original english title. How I can change this?
I want a sort by the title of the MFO title.

Hi Michael,

I love your product suite and thanks for all the hard work you have put in thus far. This is a basic problem, but it has been bugging me somewhat.

What is the "New" genre based on, by that I mean is it the date of the mfo or the file date? I have built my movie data and i do not select the watched or unwatched flags but my list of films in the new genre includes some that I have had for quite some time and I don' think all the new ones are there either.

Hi Michael,

With the vote on the NMT site in favor of moving to the new firmware, I am correct in thinking that Movie Flow will no longer work, as the new interface is flash based?

Error While Downloading trailors

Hi,

First thanks for adding the boxset option, somehow i haven't got to work it though, not sure if i have to move the Movie folders out of single folder e.g. i have 007 collection folder having all movie folder for james bond movies.
If i have to move the movie folder out of parent folder ; do i need to regenerate entire database ?

Also with latest update i am getting :-

Michael,

I deleted a few old movies today and moved some other videos around so I thought it be a good idea to Reset the Image Pointers, however I wasn't really paying attention because I accidently clicked on the Clear The Database Before Scanning option and then had to wait for a couple of hours for Movieflow to re-scan everything all over again

So I was thinking that maybe for idiots like me there could be a warning asking ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO CLEAR THE DATABASE BEFORE SCANNING? OK/Cancel

Just thought it might be another good way to help idiot proof MovieFlow

Sorry if it seems that everytime I come to the forum it's to tell you my problems - but I have a new one

I actually have several Movie Flow databases so I can seperate my movies from my kids movies & I also use seperate databases for each TV genre. This has been working well since I started using Movie Flow but today I noticed that it took quite some time to build one of my small menus. I checked the menu folder on my popcorn hour and noticed that Movie Flow has built a huge menu containing every video file I have - like it has combined all my seperate databases into a single menu.

Is this now normal behaviour for Movieflow?

Just so you know - I am using Movie Flow build 11/21/2011 and tested with Basic & LedTV skins with the same result.

I think I might know what's happening...

Movie Flow builds the current menu locally on my computer in the folder C:\Movie Flow for All 1.2.6\temp\.. then trasnfers the completed menu to my Popcorn Hour hard drive. I assume in the past Movie Flow would clean out this temp folder at the begining of each build, but now it has stopped doing that and if I build say large movie menu containing 300+ movies then build my small home movie menu containing only about 10 videos - the temp folder still contains all the images and html files for the larger Movies menu and the transfers all this to the Popcorn Hour. So a small menu that used to be about 5Mb is now more like 150Mb.

What do you think Michael?

::EDIT:: Just noticed the Force Clean Download option is no longer removing the previous menu from the Popcorn Hour...

Hi Michael, im getting a new error. When build is finish and ia run it the menu is all mest up! I get no images what so ever on any of the skins, I only get movie titles no images or buttons, what can be doing this?

I allready tried clean download
movie do play
I even tried runnig the flow as an administrator
the menu flow workg good, its only the movie flow that dosnt

just to keep u up: using, movie collector, win 7 64bits, and the newest update of movie an menu flow

Michael,

Since I downloaded and installed the latest Movie Flow, my menus are missing the movie cover images when using the Basic skin. It's not until I click on the right or left arrows that the covers appear.

Has anyone else noticed this?
